Hey guys
Dot points are for dedicated people as you can see.In case you were interested this is what I've been up to
• Went to a Frida Kahlo exhibition in Brussels and this film museum which where we watched a Buster Keaton film. It was hilarious, go watch one
• Shopping in Antwerp – it was really good. There was this shop called Urban Outfitters and it was Ari and Sarah condensed into shop-form. And it had all these random things like they have in the shop in Chatswood chase that I can’t remember the name.
• Had chocolate Easter eggs from breakfast. This event clearly merits its own dot point
• Went on a Rotary trip to Greece in the Easter holidays. It was awesome. We visited Delphi, Athens, Hydra and Spetses (two islands) and Olympia. And we went to Mycenae!!! And I keep going ‘OMG cyclopean walls! Grave Circle A! Ashlar masonry!’ and ‘check out that relieving triangle!!’ but everyone else was like ‘okay…’ no-one else quite shared my enthusiasm for ancient rocks.
• Went to the Atomium in Brussels. It’s this big molecular shaped building that was built for the 1958 World Fair and never got taken down.
• We went to Mini-Europe as well, which was actually really cool. And now I’ve seen everything in Europe in mini-version I obvs don’t need to travel anymore.
• There’s a theme park called Walibi near here that I went to with all the Rotary kids as well. We rode everything worth going on, even things which went upside down, which I used to never do. There was one called the Tutankhamun which was like a ghost train, only in Egypt and you had Ancient Egyptian laser guns to shoot things with. I felt like Indiana Jones, only with an ankh-shaped laser gun.
• Also apparently Belgium doesn’t have a government anymore. I really don’t understand how this isn’t a bigger deal than its being treated or how Belgium has been functioning as a country since. Everyone’s just like ‘Oh yeah, we don’t have a government anymore’ and then goes along their merry way. Apparently it’s not an uncommon occurrence. Ok cool, anarchy is good by me too.
• I still haven’t made Anzac biscuits even though I said the other day that I would. I feel unpatriotic. I’ll make them soon.
And now I haven't got anything planned for the next month! :P
